Le Strand is a South Florida point of coordination for advisers whose clients are moving, buying or establishing a second base. Le Strand brings the local work into an organised sequence while established advisers retain their mandates. Independent professionals deliver the advice; Le Strand coordinates it into the Landing Plan.

Your client’s Florida plans can create practical dependencies across professional advice, the property search and family arrangements.

Le Strand brings the local work into an organised sequence while established advisers retain their mandates. The scope, communication and responsibilities are agreed at the outset.

Working together

From an introduction to an agreed piece of work.

01

Establish the fit

Begin with the Florida objective and the question your client needs resolved. We establish whether the requirement sits within Le Strand's scope and what remains to be clarified before an introduction or engagement.

02

Agree permission and responsibilities

With the client's permission, agree who is involved, what may be shared and the work each professional retains. We identify any additional expertise needed and discuss appropriate options. An introduction alone does not appoint Le Strand or create a legal or other specialist engagement.

03

Turn the brief into a practical sequence

For agreed work, connect the local decisions with the dates and professional answers they depend on. A residence search may proceed alongside school research while a particular commitment waits for an answer from the appointed adviser.

04

Review the next decision

Use the agreed communication arrangements to make progress, missing information and the next decision clear. When the requirement changes, revisit the scope and timetable with the client and the relevant professionals rather than silently expanding anyone's mandate.

A wider professional circle

Relevant to the work you already do.

We welcome conversations with immigration and private-client counsel, tax and estate advisers, private bankers, family offices, residential professionals and other specialists supporting internationally mobile families.

Serena’s Florida real estate representation is agreed through its own engagement. An introduction does not transfer an existing adviser’s mandate.

A practical example

What a useful first referral can look like.

Illustrative, anonymized outline: a family is considering a South Florida base for the next school year. They have tax and immigration advisers, have not selected a location and would like to understand whether a scouting visit should come before a residence search. There is no confirmed school place or arrival date.

That is enough to discuss the local requirement without sending the family's name, financial records or immigration documents. The next useful questions concern the intended use of the home, children's school stages, broad housing range, travel availability and which professional answers could change the timing.

01

For the referring adviser

Identify the decision you want the local work to inform. For example: does the family have a realistic location and residence brief, and which proposed dates remain assumptions? State the boundaries of your existing engagement and whether the client has agreed to a direct introduction.

02

For the family

Explain the options they need to compare and what is already in place. A family can ask about a residential purchase, sale or broader Landing Plan. Existing advisers remain involved; where a discipline is missing, we can discuss suitable introductions or a separately agreed engagement.

03

For the next update

Agree a concrete decision to report back on, subject to the family's permission. In this example, that could be the shortlist of locations to test on a visit, the school questions still awaiting answers and the resulting change to the home brief. It is more useful than a general assurance that the move is progressing.

A useful first handoff

Five points before a client is identified.

An anonymized outline is enough to establish whether Le Strand can help. Keep the first handoff to the practical information below; identifying details and sensitive records remain in the appropriate professional process.

01

Florida objective

State whether the family is considering a move, second base, residence purchase or another defined South Florida requirement.

02

Working timetable

Share the intended decision or arrival window and mark every unconfirmed date as an assumption.

03

Advisers already appointed

List the professional roles already involved and the mandate each adviser retains. Names are not required for the first conversation.

04

Decisions and dependencies

Identify the residence, immigration, school, household or local questions that affect one another and still need an owner.

05

Communication permission

Explain who may receive updates and what may be shared. Client-identifying information follows only with the client's permission.

After the introduction

What the adviser can expect to receive.

With the family's permission, Le Strand can keep the relevant local work visible to the appointed team. The useful format and update rhythm are agreed for the engagement; an introduction does not create automatic reporting or change an existing mandate.

01

Agreed scope note

A concise record of Le Strand's local role, the mandates that remain with existing advisers and any work that requires a separate engagement.

02

Decision sequence

The relevant dates, dependencies, responsible parties and open decisions affecting the South Florida residence or arrival plan.

03

Permission-led updates

Updates limited to the information the family has authorized Le Strand to share, through the people and cadence agreed at the outset.

04

Questions returned to the right adviser

Tax, estate, wealth, immigration and other specialist questions remain with the appropriately appointed professional rather than being absorbed into local coordination.
